What a start to the month of July!
Saturday 1 July saw PPWD, led by CEO Paul Davison, sponsor and support the British Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association’s 2023 British Bobsleigh Push Championships. Congratulations to all those who stood on the start line and pushed the 140 kg sled down the track - and back up for the next athlete!!!
Congratulations to the winners, Mica Moore OLY (fastest Female), Greg Cackett (fastest Male), @Kya Placide (fastest Novice Female) and @Austin Millward (fastest Novice Male).
This was an early season event, making the fact that so many athletes smashed personal bests even more encouraging and indicates there are great things to come from the athletes and teams this coming season! All VERY exciting with eyes remaining set on the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics!
PPWD’s team learned so much from speaking to, listening to and watching high-performance athletes, and we are proud to be part of the BBSA’s longer-term aspirations. We know that for every high-performing individual, there is an equally-dedicated support team, and it is important to acknowledge those who were there yesterday: Heather Ratnage-Black, Ian Richardson, Graham Richardson, Mark Silva, Sean Olsson and Caroline Gray amongst others, who operate in support of the athletes.
